Randall G. Nelson

Born in Ashland, Oregon on December 12, 1961, Randall G. Nelson was admitted to the bar in 1987 for Montana and the U.S. District Court, District of Montana. He was subsequently admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit in 1992, and to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit in 2002.

Mr. Nelson's educational background includes studies at Rocky Mountain College, followed by a B.A., cum laude from Ithaca College in 1984, and a J.D. from the University of Montana in 1987. During his time at the University of Montana School of Law, he served as a member of the Montana Law Review from 1985-1986 and as Editor from 1986-1987.

As a licensed pilot, Mr. Nelson brings unique expertise to aviation law matters. He is the author of "Landowner Liability in Montana," published in 47 Montana L. Rev. 109 in 1986. Following his graduation, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Holmstrom at the District Court, State of Montana in 1988. In October 2017, he taught at the American Board of Trial Advocates Masters in Trial program, sharing his extensive trial experience with fellow advocates.

Mr. Nelson maintains active memberships in the State Bar of Montana, Yellowstone Area Bar Association, and the Aviation Insurance Association. He served as President of the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association from 2004-2005 and was a member of its Board of Directors from 2000-2006. He is also an advocate member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates.

Thomas C. Bancroft

Born in Powell, Wyoming on July 5, 1954, Thomas C. Bancroft was admitted to the bar in 1979 for Wyoming and the U.S. District Court, District of Wyoming. His bar admissions expanded to include the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit in 1987, Montana in 2016, the U.S. District Court, District of Montana in 2017, and the Ninth Circuit in 2022.

Mr. Bancroft earned his B.A. in History from the University of Wyoming in 1976, followed by his J.D. from the University of Wyoming in 1979. His extensive legal career spans multiple jurisdictions and decades of dedicated practice.

Mr. Bancroft maintains active memberships in the State Bar of Montana, the State Bar of Wyoming, and the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association. His multi-state bar admissions and broad experience allow him to effectively represent clients across jurisdictional boundaries, bringing valuable perspective to complex legal matters.
